FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Deposit & Payment Terms
25% of the contracted food and beverage minimum and room rental is due with contract signing. 2-3 deposits will be set and the final payment is due (10) business days before the Wedding Day. Group shall also provide a contingency deposit for additional items or services requested and provided during the Event, equal to 20% (“Contingency Deposit”), due on the same date as the final deposit. The Contingency Deposit will be credited towards any additional amounts charged for additional items or services requested and provided during the event, and, if applicable, any other outstanding amounts owed by Group to Hotel. Any portion of the Contingency Deposit remaining after payment of such additional items and outstanding amounts will be refunded.
Guarantees
First estimate of guest count is due 21-days before Wedding. Final guarantee is due 7 days before the Wedding Day.
Guest Room Information
Check-in time is 4:00pm. Checkout time is 11:00am. We will make every effort to accommodate any requests for early arrival and late departure, based on availability. Luggage storage arrangements can be made with Guest Services.
Tours
We would love to give you a tour! There are times all event space is reserved during the week and on the weekends, so please call 512-480-2040 to inquire. Tours are by appointment only.
Decorations
All candles must be in enclosed containers or vases (vases must have a bottom to catch wax). Any damage to our linens caused by candle wax will be subject to a $50 replacement fee.
Outdoors we allow for sparklers and bubbles.

Alcohol
Hyatt Regency Ausitn has a full liquor license, therefore we are required to provide all alcohol for events. We provide TABC-certified bartenders for all bar services, ice, glassware, mixers, garnishes and all alcohol.
Bartender Fee is $150 +tax per bartender, 1 bartender per 100 guests is required.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are not guaranteed. The time frame of the rehearsal cannot be scheduled until 30 days prior, once client access times are confirmed for the day before your event. They are scheduled during business hours in conjunction with our event schedule, and typically early the day prior. In some cases, rehearsals may be held on the event day, depending on availability and client preference.
Gift Bags
All delivery inquiries should be made through the events manager.
Any items/letters under the door: $3.00**
Any generic items placed in the guestroom: $5.00**each
Any guest specific items placed in the guestroom: $10.00** each
Menu Tasting
Menu tastings will be scheduled for all weddings with a minimum of 50 guests, 1-2 months before the Wedding Day. Tastings are complimentary for up to (4) guests. Menu tastings will cover entrees and salads. Additional guests attending tasting will be subject to a charge of $150.00 per guest.
Kids Meals
Starting at $45++ per child, ages 3 to 12 years. Meal includes fruit cup, chicken fingers, French fries, soda/ juice.
Parking
Valet and Self-Parking are both available for you and your guests.
Self-Parking
Vendors
All vendors must be licensed and insured.
Vendor meals are available, starting at $55++ per guest.

Collaborative Diagramming
A collaborative program that helps you and your Event Manager design professional create customized room diagrams and seating to design the best room layouts for your event. You can make your own edits to diagrams to ensure room setups match your vision.

Hyatt’s proprietary group reservation process with customized links to allow your guests to book online within the group block. It also gives you the ability to view reports through the Hyatt Planner Portal.
